As the church continues to embrace and diversify its membership and leadership through age, gender and identity we are also called to work collaboratively with "the leadership and governance of the church in ways that value God's love for every human being". Given we are all "broken in our humanness" in addition to expertise in church polity, humility and grace are also needed to appreciate the various gifts and presence of others with whom we are blessed to be in relationship with.
I've had the privilege and benefit from the wisdom of others from diverse contexts and social locations, collectively thinking critically about personal and group development, our location in systems, and engaging in practices for transformation within those systems.
My breadth of experience in the Episcopal church, theological education, partnerships across difference, and proven leadership abilities position me well to ask for your consideration to become the next President of the House of Deputies.
