John Floberg
I am a Senior Deputy from the Diocese of North Dakota who serves on the Standing Rock Nation. I helped to lead this church in its support of Standing Rock and Indigenous nation’s concern for the Care of Creation through environmental justice (2016). I come from Province VI, the western middle of the United States, and know the realities of distance and the challenges facing more than 75% of congregations as ones that are small. I have extensive experience in the life, mission and ministry of the Episcopal Church having served a term on Executive Council 2012-2018, a Deputy to every Convention since Denver in 2000 and a member of PB&F for six Triennia. Serving on PB&F I have gained extensive knowledge of our Governance and Program aspects of our church as well as being a committee that introduced me to people and their stories from all nine of our Provinces. I am known as a person who carries institutional memory that is useful as changing dynamics are considered for our common life. I am a husband, father of four and grandfather of two.
