Matthew Taylor
I am an attorney practicing veteran’s law with past experience in criminal law, health care law, housing law, Social Security Disability law, and False Claims Act litigation. I have spent the last four years writing decisions in administrative appeals.
I attend St. John’s Lafayette Square in Washington, DC, where I currently serve on the vestry.
I have also served on the EDOW Diocesan Council, EDOW Diocesan Disciplinary Board, the Province III Executive Committee, Province III Ordinances Committee, and as the Province III Lay Representative to Executive Council. I am also currently serving as secretary of the legislative committee on Constitution & Canons. I served as First Alternate to the 79th and 80th General Conventions.
I believe that my experiences working within administrative tribunals and writing complex decisions in administrative appeals combined with my knowledge of church governance provide me the necessary skills to understand the intricate records and nuanced issues that come before the Court of Review.
