A149 Amending daily session schedule for House of Deputies
During the 79th General Convention, it became clear there was a need to conduct consent calendar votes at each legislative session rather than limiting them to once a day in the morning. This becomes especially important as resolutions need to be sent to the House of Bishops and provide enough time for them to calendar them before the end of Convention. Deputies will still have a 24-hour window to review the consent calendar thoroughly before casting their votes or requesting the removal of specific items. This approach was used under the Special Rules of Order at the 80th General Convention. We also introduced a set time on the order of business for the house to vote on whether to consider any late resolutions.
